Who Are the People Behind the Scenes?

Komikwerks is a company comprised of over 60 people, including the many creators who contribute to the site. You can find more info about the creators on the title pages for each comic. As for the rest of us, here's some info for you:

Patrick Coyle, Co-Founder

Patrick Coyle is currently Art Director for Molecular, a leading web consultancy in New England. Prior to Molecular, Patrick was Art Director for the Entertainment division of Lycos.com, one of the world's largest and most successful portal/community/ecommerce web networks. Previously, he was the Design Director for Razorfish, one of the world's foremost web design companies. Patrick established and built the design department of Razorfish's Boston office, building it from 2 to 35 people in under a year. In the 6 years prior to Razorfish, Patrick worked for a number of Web and CD-ROM design companies in New York City and Boston, including T3, Think New Ideas, Snickelways, and Music Pen. In that time, Patrick has run the gamut of roles in multimedia and web production: Designer, illustrator, writer, voice-over artist, HTML coder, Project Manager, Assistant Creative Director, Art Director, and Design Director.

Patrick has worked with a wide range of clients: SONY, The Boston Red Sox, Charles Schwab, Chase Manhattan Bank, The Discovery Channel, Microsoft, Hasbro, Bank Boston, Fleet Bank, Major League Baseball All-Star Nomar Garciaparra, Fruit of the Loom, Pratt & Whitney, and many more.

Somewhere in there, Patrick also found the time to start his own web shop, MonkeyWrench, LLC, his own design & illustration studio, Non-Stop Studios, LLC, and work on a handful of comic projects.

Patrick contributed content and artwork to Steven Withrow's book, Toon Art: The Graphic Art of Digital Cartooning, published by Watson-Guptill, a book he is proud to be associated with.

Rob M. Worley, Director of Web Development

Rob is well-known to comic fans on the internet as founder and editor of Comics2Film.com. Employing conisderable knowledge of web design and software development, Rob works behind the scenes to expand the capabilities of Komikwerks. When he's not bending the internet to his will, Rob is a prolific writer, having penned comics for Marvel, Image, Arcana, 360ep and Narwain, several Juvenile Fiction novels for Actionopolis, children's storybooks and several unproduced screenplays.

Gary Reed, Special Features Editor

Gary Reed is one of the most accomplished figures in comics publishing. As the publisher of Caliber Comics, Reed released 1,300 titles in the 1990s and launched the indie comics phenomena "The Crow". Caliber gave rise to many of today’s comic talents, including top-draw names like Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Michael Lark, David W. Mack, Guy Davis and Mike Gaydos to name but a few. His books graphic novels Baker Street, Renfield, Saint Germaine and Deadworld are still in print and widely read.
