The Universal Intergalactic Discovery Company, ltd., the largest corporation in the galaxy, one fine morning invited Jack Foster and his beloved dog, Nigel, to journey across the universe on board the fabulous scientific exploration ship, The Exploratoreum.
It seemed like a good idea at the time, although Jack was notorius for not being very clear-headed in the wee hours.
This is the story that dares to combine Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, the Beatles' Yellow Submarine, Franz Kafka's The Trial, Joseph Heller's Catch 22, and the Dave Letterman Show into a perfectly logical study of pet ownership and scientific exploration.
On the side we also explore Fear of Bureaucracy, Separation Anxiety, the Quest for the Nuclear Family, the Grand Unifying Theory, and a thorough examination of the Human Condition. And...oh yes--we redefine the very NATURE OF THE COSMOS!!!
Assuming, of course, that Jack can find his lost dog, Nigel.

The adventures that Jack and Nigel have onboard the Exploratoreum as its romps across galaxies redefine not only what the Universe is, but more importantly, what reality is. Have you ever thought about the abstract idea of Infinity. Or...how big is the Universe?...
The Horror of a Lost Dog
Welcome to the first blog for the UIDC. We have much territory to explore dealing with the "behind the scenes" making of this strip, and we will also enrich you with a greater understanding of our story, but...first we have to tell you how the UIDC began.
I lost my dog. Yep, it's that simple. His name was Nigel, and he was an English Staffordsire Bull Terrier. Man, I loved that dog. For those of you who have lost a dog, you know how traumatic it can be. My life went on hold as I bega...
